so i’m the cheapest person in the world.
how cheap? i cried and called my mom after spending $25 on a sweater. yeah, it’s that bad.
there is one thing, however, that i will spend my last penny on…concerts. this week alone, i’m copping tix for six shows.
i went to see one of my faaaaave discoveries this year, local natives last night at terminal 5.
i already saw them in may at governor’s ball in the pouring rain, but once is never enough. it was legit a religious experience. i cried during ‘wide eyes’ for chrissake! besides their vocal superiority, crazy instrumentation, and taylor’s gnarly ‘stache, every last member of local natives, past and present (miss you andy, love having you erik) is gorgeous. i thirst-tweeted them all day yesterday to no avail. ::sigh::
anywhos, you should prob go check them out tonight at terminal 5 for round two of their nyc shows. tix are still on sale for 30 bucks! you may see me there because i’m that obsessed. in the meantime, check out the song “cards and quarters” that got me hooked on these dudes in the first place.
*editor’s note: kexp radio’s youtube page is the best place to discover dope indie bands with really cute boys.
